Welcome
We are a seven class village school with a very friendly and caring ethos. The school is set in beautiful surroundings in the village of East Coker which is just on the edge of Yeovil. We have fantastic facilities both in and around school and there is always lots going on for our pupils. This website aims to give you an overview of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
East Coker Community Primary School is a middle sized school for pupils aged between 4 - 11 years. Our core catchment is the village of East Coker together with the surrounding villages of East Chinnock, Pendomer and Hardington as well as an area of Yeovil. A growing proportion of our pupils come to us from outside this catchment area from other villages and other parts of Yeovil. Our annual admission number is 30 pupils from Y1-Y6 and 38 for Reception and we currently have over 220 pupils on roll. We have recently moved to a seven class school and some classes are mixed age. We have a very good staff to pupil ratio.
We offer many clubs and opportunities to take part in external events and there is a breakfast club and after school club on site run by an external provider.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have. This includes requests for paper copies of any information we have on the website.
