If your child has to self isolate or if there is a bubble closure

If your child is well they will be expected to attend our virtual school. We will take a daily register and follow up on any non attendance. Completing the work set will be mandatory.  This is due to the fact that we could end up with regular closures if transmission rates are high and it is crucial that your child does not fall behind their peers.

We are currently training our junior children to use MS Teams which they will be able to continue at home as part of a 'blended learning' approach and to support during closures. Guidance can be found on the MS Teams Guide section of our COVID 19 page for children in Kingfishers, Magpies, Eagles, Kestrels and Nightingales.

Should the bubble or school be closed the following will take place:

  • The school will contact you with the necessary information regarding the closure and return.
  • The team will contact you informing you about remote/home learning activities which will take place. They will include information regarding the daily timetable as well as information about our daily register and meet and greet session, how lessons will be set up and delivered, what feedback your child will receive as well as the times for additional intervention groups in the afternoon should your child have any difficulties. All live lessons will be recorded so if you have difficulty accessing IT you can watch the recording at your preferred time.

Please make sure you have access to the school app for the latest information and that we have the correct email address for you.
